The aim of the Belonging Project is to encourage the celebration of diversity while simultaneously highlighting the similarities we all share as human beings. Migrant peoples are not a cohesive group; they are individuals with distinct identities regardless of their country of origin, their skin colour, or the religion they practice.  By emphasising this fact, we hope that the local communities will identify with migrants on a personal level rather than through a ‘them and us’ mentality.

The workshop consists of various interactive activities designed, by full engagement, to give participants the opportunity to explore their own biases and stereotypes, in order to think about how they interact and relate to people from a diverse background. The workshop provides a safe space to speak about sensitive issues in hopes of fostering understanding, compassion, and acceptance.

Please RSVP to admin@migrantcentreni.org to reserve your spot! Check out thebelongingproject.org for more information.
