  • Accidental Theatre 12-13 Shaftesbury Square Belfast, BT2 7DB Northern Ireland (map)

In 1984 a group of gay rights activists offered their support to striking miners in a small Welsh mining town. One of those activists was Northern Ireland man Mark Ashton. Pride is the uplifting true story of those activists and their journey. This special screening will have an introduction setting out the wider political context of the strike by Greg Sachno (Unite the Union) and be followed by a short discussion on the film with Greg and John O’Doherty (Rainbow Project).
