Welcome to the Northern Ireland Human Rights Festival.

The 5th annual festival will take place in December 2016.

Applications for events are now open!

Please see our 'Get Involved' section for more details.

Our dates for the 2016 festival are Sunday 4th to Saturday 10th December. With the programme of events finishing on International Human Rights Day (10th Dec).

This year we have added a new 'Get Involved' section to the website where organisations can find details of how to apply to hold an event in the festival and anyone interested in volunteering can get an idea of what is involved and how to make contact.

Details of the various deadlines and the launch of our programme will appear here in due course. We also hope to get some events advertised early so please check back for updates on all of this.

As usual we hope to have a diverse schedule of events ranging from comedy, poetry, music and film to discussion, lectures and exhibitions and everything in between.

Our aim continues to be to try and inform and entertain as well as to stimulate debate about human rights and the importance of not only celebrating rights but protecting them too.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Human Rights Festival!
